CBD X Veganism

Veganism, whether it’s for health, environmental, or animal rights reasons - we can’t knock it. It’s undeniable that the benefits of veganism spread far and wide, from reduced strain on the environment due to minimised dairy and meat farming, reduced cruelty inflicted on animals, and also many accounts of feeling generally better within oneself due to following a plant based diet.

And speaking of a plant based diet, there’s one plant in particular that seems to bring countless benefits to your lifestyle and wellness, hemp - and in particular hemp extract in the form of CBD based products.

But first things first, if you’re a vegan you might be asking, is CBD 100% vegan? Well yes, yes it is! CBD (cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound which is extracted directly from the hemp plant. However, for vegans it is important to check that although CBD is vegan, is its final product form vegan? CBD products come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from vape juices, to skin creams, capsules, and oils (and many many more). For products such as skin creams and capsules there can be a grey area concerning whether they are strictly vegan, as it can be hard to trace the exact ingredients of the shell of a capsule, or whether a cosmetic product was ever tested on an animal in the development process.

The product we recommend for any vegan members of the CBD community is the Reakiro premium quality CBD oil. This is 100% vegan, from seed to final product, and no animal testing is involved in the process. If you wish to get more creative with your CBD, this oil is perfect to be incorporated into a variety of fun dishes, or in something simple like peanut butter on toast, or even infused into drinks. Alternatively, if you want to keep your CBD really simple you can simply pop a few drops under your tongue (suggestions included with the product).

CBD Oil truly is the definition of plant power. Everyday we are learning that this incredible plant extract can do more and more. Whilst scientific research is underway, members of the community having been coming forward to praise the addition of CBD into their lifestyle, stating that it has helped alleviate afflictions such as stress, anxiety, muscle pain, inflammation, and dermatological issues.

And whilst we’re still learning about the benefits of CBD, the wonders of the hemp plant do not end there. CBD is just one of many cannabinoids found in the hemp plant, which are also present in the Reakiro full-spectrum CBD oil, enhancing the natural benefits by working together. Additionally, there are terpenes which add natural flavouring and essential fatty acids, omega 3 and 6 which are generally associated with oily fish.

This is merely a glance into how much power the hemp plant has and how it could reduce the consumption and use of animal products. Hemp has boundless capabilities, from creating fibres for textiles and even building materials. Join us on this journey to see how hemp could lead the way to a plant based revolution.
