The Golden Root Juice

The Golden Root Juice

When speaking about our Reakiro premium CBD oil, you may have heard us mention CBD recipes. If you want to get a little creative about how you take your CBD and add a little decorum to your life, incorporating CBD oil into recipes can be the perfect way to do it. Today we are ecstatic to bring you the first in our series of CBD recipes - all of which are super simple to follow at home.

To kick off our CBD recipe book we’ve got a vibrant root juice - The Golden Root. Juices and smoothies are a really easy way of getting a good portion of your five-a-day and incorporating new ingredients that you may want to experiment with.

You will need:

  • 8 Large Carrots
  • 2 - 3 Navel Oranges
  • 1 - 2 inch Ginger
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • Mint
  • Reakiro 5% CBD Oil

Serves 3 - 4

Instructions:

  • Clean and cut all the fruits and vegetables.
  • Add to the juicer.
  • Add a teaspoon of turmeric.
  • Add CBD Oil (to taste).

Enjoy!

The components of this juice work perfectly together, especially in early autumn when you’re looking to balance out a splash of spice with a pinch of freshness. We’ve named The Golden Root after the three fabulously autumnal roots in the juice: carrots, turmeric, and ginger. The oranges in this juice give your taste buds that much-needed natural sweetness, whilst bringing the other ingredients together and providing your daily vitamin C.

Turmeric is a health wonder all by itself; a natural anti-inflammatory, turmeric also increases the antioxidant capacity in the body and lowers the risk of heart disease. If you’ve had turmeric before you’ll know that it’s a spice that is very popular in Indian cuisine. Turmeric is actually a root that is part of the ginger family, so it’s no wonder that the ginger in this recipe compliments the flavour. Our penultimate ingredient is mint, which adds the much-needed zing of freshness.

Adding CBD oil to your juice can be adjusted in quantity to adhere to your optimal dosage. Of course, this varies from person to person, so if it is your first time trying CBD it is advised to begin with the recommended 10ml. CBD is a non-psychoactive compound with a range of wellness benefits, so if you put slightly too much in there is no risk - it just may not be the optimum dosage for your body.

We hope that you enjoy this Golden Root CBD juice recipe and find a way to incorporate it into your life! Remember juices and smoothies work well for a breakfast on the go, but they are not limited to this. Try it as a pre-or-post workout boost, or as a pick-me-up in the working day when you need a little uplift from some natural sugars whilst enjoying the relaxing qualities of CBD.
